Art is like magic. Magicians turn something into nothing; artists turn nothing into something beautiful. As one would ask about a magic trick, do you marvel at an artist’s creativity and ask, “How do they do that?” How do artists transform found objects, a random shell, an olive branch, a piece of material into a treasure? How do they craft paint into emotion or a photograph into an immersive journey?
These intriguing questions about artists’ abilities, vision and passion will be answered at the charitable Art Festival held at Pinta Golfe Clube, May 20-21. Twelve local artists will display their works for pleasure or purchase, with 20% of sales going to the club charities: Algarve Families in Need and the Lagoa Bombeiros. Unlike magicians, artists are happy to reveal their methods for making magic during the “Meet the Maker” talks at the top of each hour.
Hosted by Carvoeiro Golfe and Country Clube and Pestana, this vibrant display of creativity brings together artists and the local community to celebrate diverse forms of artistic expression. The artists present their unique vision and style, with an impressive lineup of paintings, woodwork, digital photography, textiles, and shell art. With such a wide variety of offerings, there is something for everyone.
