SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A local art organization is gearing up for Sioux City’s Alley Art Festival!
Vangarde Arts said they’re accepting muralist and vendor applications for the event, which will be held in late September.
For the event, the alleys between 4th and 6th and Pierce Street and Nebraska Street will be decorated by artists who choose to submit mural concepts! Applications for this are due on July 27, 2025, and those that are selected will be given primer and four quarts of paint. There’s also cash awards throughout categories, and the work will be judged.

“All of us at Vangarde Arts are excited to bring Alley Art Festival 25 to Siouxland for its seventh year,” wrote Vangarde Arts Director Brent Stockton. “It’s our favorite time of year as the alleys come alive with new artists and stunning new murals.”
However, if you’re an artist just looking to showcase or sell some of your work, organizers are welcoming vendors for the festival. Vendor applications require a $50 deposit, and applications for this are due on August 24, 2025.
