Cornwall art and wellbeing workshops to take place

The National Trust is inviting people to join two art and wellbeing experiences on the Pentire headland, near Polzeath.

They will be led by Cornwall-based art practitioner Laura Frances Martin, who, in partnership with National Trust rangers, will run “gentle” activities aimed at “sparking creativity and connection with the natural world.”

The first event, ‘InTheSaltSpace at Pentire,’ will take place on Friday, September 5, with women of all ages able to take part in art activities and open conversations about climate change.

The second event will be the ‘Art and Nature Wellbeing Walk at Pentire’ on Saturday, September 20, which will be a walk across Pentire’s wildlife-rich farmland and the sandy cove at Pentireglaze Haven.

This walk will include sensory exercises, creative prompts and wellbeing practices.

Laura said: “I’m really delighted to be collaborating with the National Trust again.

“We ran some similar events recently at Crantock that were very positively received by everyone who came along.

“The aim is to help participants to feel relaxed, creative and inspired while enjoying the beautiful seasonal changes taking place at Pentire – and you don’t need to have any prior experience in art to enjoy this experience.”

Tickets for each event are £35 per person, and booking is essential.
