Through Love, created by artist Maria Arroyave, will go on display at Magdalen Road Studios and pay tribute to her late sister Ana Arroyave, who died in 2020.
The exhibition features a series of mixed media and collage paintings that reflect Maria’s journey through grief and her transformation of that experience into creative purpose.
Maria Arroyave said: “My sister was a hugely popular and active member of the local community.
“Due to the Covid restrictions at the time, only 30 people were allowed to attend her funeral, yet hundreds lined the streets in the pouring rain to say farewell.

“This exhibition is for them and for her. To remember what she meant to us all and hopefully raise some funds for SeeSaw charity and the Stroke Association in the process.”
The exhibition will raise funds for two charities. SeeSaw, which supports bereaved children and young people in Oxfordshire, and the Stroke Association.
Ana Arroyave was born in Oxford in 1967 and educated at Rye St Anthony School in Headington.
She later earned a degree in social work from Ruskin College in 2005.
She worked primarily in education social work from 2005 to 2012, serving in Marston and Cowley with Oxfordshire County Council, before moving into mental health services.
As well as her work as a social worker, Ana was a Relax Kids coach and yoga teacher.
She lived in Jericho with her husband and three children until her death from a stroke in 2020.
The exhibition will run from September 5 to 15 and will be open daily from 11am to 6pm.
A limited-edition print of one of the paintings, featuring Ana’s affirmation ‘In Hope I Stand Fearless, In Hope I Stand Transformed,’ will be sold to raise funds for the charities.
