Fairmont Mumbai officially opened in April 2025, unveiled by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Shrem Airport Hotels, marking a new chapter in the city’s hospitality scene. Announced in New York on the same date, the hotel fuses 1920s Art Deco influences with contemporary design in India’s financial capital.
Art Deco Meets Modern Design
The property, under Accor’s luxury banner, offers 446 luxuriously appointed rooms, including elegant suites and a dedicated wellness floor, alongside 75,000 square feet of event space—one of Mumbai’s largest. Drawing from the golden age of New York’s Art Deco splendor, its design intertwines historic architectural finesse with contemporary sophistication, embodying a legacy of elegance reimagined for the present day.
Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, called the opening a “significant milestone” in the brand’s global growth, highlighting India’s cultural and economic appeal.
