Key Takeaways
- Arkane Studios is hard at work on a new game involving Marvel’s Blade.
- However, since the game’s initial reveal in 2023, details have been relatively scarce.
- That said, via a new blog post on Arkane’s website, there is a bit more information for gamers, including a wickedly cool piece of key art.
In case you might’ve forgotten — and we don’t blame you if you have — Arkane Studios is working on a video game centered around Blade. The game, which was originally revealed nearly a year ago, will bring the half-human, half-vampire to the world of consoles.
However, in the time since the game’s initial reveal at the 2023 edition of The Game Awards, details have been relatively scarce. We know that Arkane’s Lyon studio is developing it, and that Bethesda will, of course, publish it. We also know that, via the game’s description, it’ll be a “mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris,” and is “now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games.”
But that’s about it. Heck, we don’t even know what platforms the game will be debuting on, though whatever iteration of Xbox is out will surely be one of them, or its release window. That said, via a new blog post on Arkane’s website in honor of the studio’s 25th anniversary, we have a few more details to glean.

Arkane Making A Blade Game For Marvel Seems Like Its Best Shot At Making An Arkane Game
Arkane’s recent games have leaned away from what made it a special studio. Hopefully Blade is a chance to pivot back.
All Roads Lead To Blade
The post, which was penned by Art/Co-Creative Director Sébastien Mitton, notes that Arkane’s 25 years of work has helped shape them, as well as their current project, Blade.
“Together, these projects proved that storytelling, gameplay and art can combine to create breathtaking magic – a core tenant that is now part of our studio DNA,” Mitton wrote. He goes on to tease that he’s excited to “explore uncharted dimensions of our art” with Blade. Additionally, Mitton, on behalf of Arkane, made a promise to players that the studio would “continue to push the boundaries of innovation and creativity.”
As a final bit of info, at the bottom of the blog is a key art image of all of Arkane’s characters. In the top left corner is our best full look at Blade in all of his vampire glory, including the slick shades he’ll be wearing.
Hopefully, it won’t be long before there is more Blade information. Of all the Marvel characters to get a solo adventure, Blade stands as one of the most intriguing.
