Special art therapy session for cancer conquerors at Star Hospitals in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A special art therapy session for cancer conquerors, aimed to provide emotional and psychological healing alongside medical treatment and fostering a positive mindset, was organized by Star Cancer Centre at Star Hospitals, Nanakramguda on Thursday.
While medicine treats the disease, emotional well-being plays a crucial role in recovery and by such events instil a sense of hope and resilience among cancer patients, doctors said.
Dr. B Sainath, Head, Medical Oncology at Star Hospitals, said, “Cancer care is not just about treating the disease; it is about treating the person. Emotional well-being and a positive environment significantly impact a patient’s recovery. Art therapy provides a creative outlet for self-expression and healing, empowering our patients in their fight against cancer.”
Dr. Vipin, Director, Surgical Oncology said “incorporating innovative therapies like art, we aim to offer a holistic approach to healing, helping patients navigate their journey with strength and hope.”
