May and June mark the beginning of the art degree show season, providing an opportunity to explore the newest and brightest talent as they present their final works. These exhibitions have a strong history of launching emerging artists, often serving as their first step into the art world. They are also an excellent way to stay informed about current and upcoming trends in contemporary art. Visual art students showcase the projects that formed the foundation of their degrees to the public. The shows are consistently intriguing and encompass a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video, performance art, multimedia, interdisciplinary art, ceramics, and textiles, utilising a variety of materials and themes.
Here is a comprehensive list of the major art degree shows taking place in London this summer. Please note that this list is not exhaustive, so be sure to check back for updates and additions.

RA Schools Show 2026
Royal Academy Schools Studios and Weston Studio, The Julia and Hans Rausing Campus | Burlington House, Piccadilly W1J 0BD
12 June – 28 June 2026
Tues–Sun: 10am–6pm, Fri: 10am–9pm
See new work by graduating RA Schools students in their historic studios.
At the heart of the Royal Academy’s mission since its foundation, the RA Schools provides a postgraduate programme in contemporary art that is free for all participating students. Each year the RA Schools Show is an opportunity to see bold new forms and ideas that result from three years of intense study.
Displayed throughout the RA Schools studios and Weston Studio, the exhibition presents a wide range of practices from moving image and installation to sculpture, painting, and print.
This year’s exhibition features hybrid, monumental sculptures whose material skins are self-consciously staged; paintings that hold personal history within interior spaces through restrained colour and surface; and an animation of the subterranean sewer princess, Miss HerNia, where excess just keeps on coming.
